Mobile operator Ucell fined for advertising law violation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights of Uzbekistan has fined LLC "COSCOM" (Ucell) for violating advertising laws.

During a routine monitoring conducted by the Committee, inflated or misleading statements were found in the company’s advertising materials published in the media.

Based on this, the Committee’s Special Commission initiated a case for violating the requirements of the "Advertising Law" and decided to impose a financial fine on LLC "COSCOM."

Additionally, the company was instructed to rectify the identified violations and take measures to prevent them in the future.

The company has the right to appeal the decision of the Special Commission to the Appellate Council of the Committee or through judicial proceedings.
