Mirziyoyev and Lukashenko Discuss Strategic Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Belarusian leader congratulated the Uzbek president on his birthday, wishing him good health, further success in his state activities, and peace and prosperity to the people of Uzbekistan.

During the talks, the sides discussed current issues related to further deepening Uzbek-Belarusian strategic partnership relations in the context of implementing agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Minsk on 8–9 July this year.

The presidents expressed satisfaction with active contacts at various levels, steady growth in bilateral trade turnover, and the implementation of cooperation projects in key sectors of the economy.

Special attention was paid to further developing interregional cooperation and expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries.
