Migration Agency Responds to Fake News Concerning Its Management
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan has issued an official statement addressing the emergence of inaccurate and misleading information circulating across social media platforms and various Telegram channels regarding the activities of the state agency's management and staff.
The agency firmly categorized the widely shared reports as unverified and entirely false.
According to the agency's press service, relevant law enforcement authorities have already initiated verification and investigative procedures in strict accordance with national legislation following the dissemination of the false claims. A formal legal assessment will be applied to each instance once all procedural actions are finalized.
The state body reminded citizens and content creators of the strict legal accountability tied to the distribution of personal data and statements that defame the honor, dignity, and professional reputation of individuals. Deliberate attempts to mislead the public will result in rigorous enforcement actions prescribed by law.
The Migration Agency emphasized that it continues to operate on the principles of transparency and legality, providing full cooperation to law enforcement agencies for an objective evaluation of the situation. Members of the media and the general public were strongly urged to rely exclusively on official sources and to refrain from one-sided interpretations.
