Medical products for 249bn soums produced in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Medical industry of Uzbekistan produced goods for 249 billion soums in the first half of 2014, the State Statistics Committee of the country said. The growth rate made u 12.8% year-on-year.

In January-June 2014, the enterprises of medical industry increased production of medicaments, which do not contain hormones or antibiotics - by 5.8%, medicines containing other antibiotics, packed for retail sale - 32.5%, vitamins and their derivatives - 2.4 times.

At the same time, the country increased production of medical wadding, gauze and similar materials, impregnated or covered with pharmaceutical substances by 2.2 times.
