Medical and Pharmaceutical Agency Chief Holds Dialogue with Cosmetics Manufacturers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized an open dialogue with the heads of domestic enterprises specializing in the production of perfume and cosmetic products.
The key objective of the specialized event was a detailed discussion of the most pressing problematic issues faced by entrepreneurs in their current operations, as well as the joint formulation of effective regulatory and practical solutions to stimulate the industry.
Authorized representatives of well-known local manufacturers, including Eclair LLC and the Dewell brand, took part in the practical discussion. The meeting participants held a comprehensive exchange of views, touching upon critically important aspects of operational activities: the specifics of internal production processes, the stable supply of necessary raw materials to factories, existing barriers in import procedures, cross-border logistics, and current national requirements in the field of technical regulation and standardization.
During the direct dialogue, representatives of the cosmetics business put forward a package of specific proposals and initiatives. These measures are aimed at significantly increasing the efficiency of production capacities, improving the quality characteristics of manufactured goods, building up the export potential of domestic brands, and accelerating the alignment of company operations with strict international quality standards.
Special emphasis during the talks was placed on the need for a prompt review of rigid regulatory requirements governing the import of certain strategic types of raw materials. Entrepreneurs also stated the importance of maximizing the simplification and acceleration of associated customs procedures during cargo clearance.
Following the meeting, the parties reached firm agreements on the systematic and step-by-step processing of all raised issues, comprehensive support for private entrepreneurship entities, and the preparation of a complex of regulatory measures for the long-term development of the industry. The participants emphasized the importance of regularly holding such meetings to strengthen interaction between government structures and the business community.
