MBFITI and GENERIUM Sign Cooperation Memorandum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The National Research Institute of Biopharmaceuticals (MBFITI) and Russian company GENERIUM have signed a memorandum of cooperation in biopharmaceuticals and biotechnology.

The document provides for the development of scientific and practical cooperation, exchange of expertise and joint implementation of promising projects, MBFITI’s press service reported.

The memorandum was signed following a visit by MBFITI representatives to GENERIUM in Russia. During the visit, the Uzbek delegation familiarised itself with the company’s operations, research capabilities, and areas of development and production of biopharmaceutical products.

The sides discussed promising areas for further cooperation in biopharmaceuticals. Particular attention was paid to the development and production of biological medicines, the application of modern biotechnologies and the practical implementation of scientific research findings.

The areas of cooperation also included analytical research and the development of technological processes. The sides placed particular emphasis on professional knowledge and experience exchange between specialists from the two organisations.

Under the agreements reached, cooperation between MBFITI and GENERIUM will include support for research activities and joint work on promising projects in biopharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
