Made in Uzbekistan Showroom Opens in Prague

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A national Made in Uzbekistan showroom displaying export products from leading Uzbek enterprises has opened in Prague, alongside bilateral talks between an Uzbek delegation and Czech partners that resulted in agreements to expand cooperation in technical regulation.

The Uzbek delegation was headed by Akmal Jumanazarov, Director of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation. During meetings with executives of Czech sector-specific organizations, the sides discussed developing quality infrastructure, eliminating technical barriers to trade, protecting consumer rights, adopting European market surveillance practices, expanding cooperation in metrology and standardization, utilizing artificial intelligence technologies, and fostering scientific and innovative collaboration.

Following the visit, documents were signed providing for professional development and training for Uzbek specialists in the Czech Republic and expanding cooperation with the Czech Metrology Institute.

The Made in Uzbekistan national showroom opened at the Anděl Park business complex in Prague. The exhibition features 48 types of export products from 17 leading Uzbek enterprises. The venue is expected to promote Uzbek goods across European Union markets, expand the country's export potential, and foster direct connections with business communities in the Czech Republic and other EU member states.

Organizational and diplomatic support for the visit—including negotiations, official meetings, and the showroom opening—was provided by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Czech Republic.

According to organizers, the agreements reached will contribute to the further development of Uzbek-Czech cooperation in technical regulation and trade-economic relations.
