Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 21 March, an aircraft of the Polish airline LOT Polish Airlines landed at Tashkent International Airport, opening a new passenger route: Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw.

By tradition, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner was solemnly greeted with a water arch. The crew and passengers were greeted with flowers to the sounds of karnay and surnay by the management of Uzbekistan Airports, the Polish ambassador to Uzbekistan, representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Transport, as well as the management of Flyin’up.

Until mid-June, flights will be regularly operated on a charter basis once every 10 days. With the transition to the winter schedule, the airline hopes to switch to regular flights on the Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw route.

LOT Polish Airlines is a Polish airline headquartered in Warsaw. The airline is a member of Star Alliance - the oldest existing, largest and most representative aviation alliance in the world.
