Leningrad Region boosts cooperation with Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko presented the region’s exhibition to First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov at the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia 2026,” held in Tashkent.
The regional stand featured companies already operating in the Uzbek market and developing industrial cooperation with local partners. Among the participants were SLOTEX, INTERTOUCH, MIRUMED, the Vsevolozhsk Crane Plant, Thermex, STELS, Blokfire, the Okhtinsky Mechanical Plant, Dendor, EPDM.RU, Attika, and the manufacturing company Miakom.
Special attention was given to developments by the Antarus Group in the housing and utilities sector. The company specializes in engineering systems and offers integrated solutions for water supply, sewage systems, and thermal engineering.
According to Alexander Drozdenko, the Leningrad Region continues to steadily strengthen economic ties with Uzbekistan. In 2025, trade turnover between the two sides increased by 13.4% to reach 88.3 million US dollars. Exports from the region amounted to 70.2 million US dollars, while imports stood at 18.1 million US dollars.
The governor noted that the goal for the current year is to increase bilateral trade to 100 million US dollars and further expand industrial cooperation through the creation of joint production facilities.
