Khorezm Reviews Progress of Presidential Social Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, reviewed the implementation of social development initiatives during a working visit to the Khorezm region.

According to her, more than 100 problem areas have already been addressed in the region. At the same time, inspections are ongoing across all sectors, regardless of the scale of the facilities, with a focus on detailed analysis and delivering concrete results.

During the visit, several social institutions in need of urgent intervention were inspected. School No. 2 was found to require major renovation, while preschool No. 49 in Khanka district was reported to be in a neglected and аварийное condition.

The delegation also visited the Urgench branch of the State Academy of Choreography. It was noted that classrooms and a boarding school are currently located in the same building. Plans are in place to construct an additional facility to provide proper conditions for both institutions.

Infrastructure issues were also highlighted, including the need to modernize the Urgench-1 pumping station, which supplies drinking water to more than one million people.

Mirziyoyeva stressed that all identified problems must be resolved as quickly as possible. The findings of the inspection and the region’s current performance were discussed at a meeting with regional and district authorities.

She emphasized that the key principle remains open discussion of problems, joint analysis, and prompt decision-making in line with social development priorities.
