Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — IT Park Uzbekistan and Japanese company 01Booster have agreed to launch a program in 2026 to help Uzbek startups and IT companies enter the Japanese market, IT Park Uzbekistan reported.
The agreement was reached during ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 at a meeting between IT Park Uzbekistan Director of Startup Ecosystem Development Farrukh Erkinov and 01Booster Executive Director Takeru Kawashima.
Founded in Tokyo in 2013, 01Booster specializes in startup acceleration, venture investment, open innovation and corporate innovation programs. The companies are currently jointly developing a market-entry program to bring Uzbek startups and software developers to the Japanese market.
In 2026, IT Park Uzbekistan and 01Booster have already held a joint Go-to-Market webinar for Uzbek startups and IT companies interested in entering Japan. The next stage will be the practical launch of the program, planned for the fourth quarter of this year.
The program will focus on preparing Uzbek startups to operate in the Japanese market, establishing contacts with local corporations and investors, introducing acceleration mechanisms and supporting international scaling.
Plans also include promoting Uzbek startup products in Japan and holding joint forums and Demo Days.
The parties separately discussed the possibility of establishing a 01Booster venture fund in Uzbekistan. Such an initiative could expand local startups’ access to Japanese investors and corporate partners, as well as strengthen ties between the startup ecosystems of the two countries.
IT Park Uzbekistan and 01Booster intend to continue cooperation in acceleration, investor engagement and the development of joint venture initiatives in Uzbekistan.
