Istanbul Başakşehir to Compete in UEFA Conference League Qualifiers with Uzbek Players

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Turkish football club Istanbul Başakşehir, which includes Uzbek players Abbosbek Fayzullaev and Eldor Shomurodov, has secured a place in the qualification rounds of the UEFA Conference League.

The team had initially not qualified for European competitions based on its season results; however, the situation changed following the Turkish Cup final.

In the decisive match, Trabzonspor defeated Konyaspor 2–1, securing a spot in the UEFA Europa League. As a result, Istanbul Başakşehir received a place in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

At the end of the Turkish Süper Lig season, the team coached by Nuri Şahin finished in fifth place with 57 points.
