The opening ceremony featured the reading of a message from the Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, who also visited the Khorezm region during her trip and reviewed the condition of key historical sites in the ancient Itchan Kala complex.

Attention was given to several major architectural landmarks, including Tash Khovli Palace, the Muhammad Amin Inak Madrasah, the Juma Mosque, the Kunya-Ark fortress and the Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah. Discussions focused on the parameters of a master plan for the development of the historic center, including restoration work and the future museumification of cultural heritage sites.

Officials emphasized that these efforts are aimed at preserving the historical identity of the ancient city and enhancing its attractiveness for international tourism. A separate regional program is also planned in Khorezm to strengthen the protection of cultural heritage and reinforce national identity through preservation initiatives.
