FlyArystan Launches Twice-Weekly Almaty–Urgench Flights
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Kazakhstan’s FlyArystan airline has launched regular flights between Almaty and Urgench, creating new opportunities to strengthen tourism ties between Kazakhstan and Khorezm Region, Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee said.
The first flight on the new route has been operated.
Flights will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. The flight duration is 2 hours and 35 minutes.
Representatives of 10 tourism companies from Kazakhstan arrived in Khorezm on the inaugural flight. A three-day familiarization tour has been organized for them, including B2B meetings and a workshop with local tour operators.
During the trip, representatives of Kazakhstan’s tourism industry will visit Khorezm’s historical and cultural attractions and explore the region’s tourism potential.
The organizers expect such familiarization tours to help promote Khorezm Region in Kazakhstan’s tourism market. They are also intended to establish direct cooperation between tourism companies in the two countries and increase mutual tourist flows.
The new air route also improves transport accessibility to Khorezm for travelers from Kazakhstan and creates additional opportunities to expand international tourism to the region.
