Ferghana Region Expands Investment Ties With Chinese Firms
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's Ferghana region is continuing to expand investment cooperation with Chinese businesses across multiple industrial sectors, according to the Ferghana region information service.
Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met with a delegation featuring representatives from Chinese companies Zhicheng Nonwovens (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., San Zheng International, and Sora Energy. The talks focused on prospects for deepening bilateral trade links and establishing new investment projects throughout the region.
Negotiations addressed the manufacturing capabilities of Zhicheng Nonwovens Co., Ltd., which specializes in nonwoven materials used in medical and hygiene product manufacturing. The sides evaluated the company's production experience and assessed potential deployment models within the Ferghana region.
San Zheng International presented its background in producing asphalt concrete mixes and specialized road construction materials. In addition, participants reviewed proposals from Sora Energy, a firm engaged in petrochemical production, including specialized fuel additives designed to enhance fuel quality.
During the meeting, the Chinese investors outlined proposals for several prospective initiatives in the region. Governor Bozorov noted that the Ferghana region possesses the necessary resources to back investor proposals, emphasizing that regional authorities stand ready to provide required infrastructure and operational support.
Following the discussions, both sides agreed to maintain joint efforts to refine proposals and work toward establishing mutually beneficial investment projects in the Ferghana region.
