Etihad Airways Launches Tashkent–Abu Dhabi Flights

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Etihad Airways will begin operating regular flights to Uzbekistan starting from 17 August, following an agreement reached during a meeting between Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriyev and the airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Captain Majed Al Marzouki.

The negotiations took place at the airline’s headquarters, where both sides discussed the current state and future prospects of air connectivity between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates. Particular attention was given to the launch of regular flights and the further expansion of the carrier’s route network.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to launch scheduled flights on the Tashkent–Abu Dhabi–Tashkent route starting from August 17 of this year.

The resumption of direct air service between the capitals of the two countries is expected to improve transport accessibility and create additional travel opportunities for passengers from Uzbekistan.

Through connections in Abu Dhabi, passengers will be able to access Etihad Airways’ global network covering more than 70 international destinations across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and North America.
