EBRD supports reforms in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —  Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov met with Liliana de Sa Kirchknopf, Director of the Board of Directors at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The EBRD praised Uzbekistan’s extensive reform agenda and reaffirmed its full support, according to Dunyo News Agency.

The meeting focused on prospects for expanding financial and investment cooperation. Both sides agreed to continue collaboration on projects in green economy development, energy, transportation, and initiatives promoting women’s and youth entrepreneurship.

To date, the EBRD has implemented 164 projects in Uzbekistan, with a significant portion (52%) dedicated to supporting the private sector.
