EBRD President to Visit Uzbekistan on Working Trip

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President Odile Renaud-Basso will pay a working visit to Uzbekistan from 17 to 19 June 2026. The visit will include meetings with the country's leadership and representatives of the international investment community.

During the trip, the EBRD president will hold talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and meet with other senior government officials.

Renaud-Basso will also co-chair a plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council, one of the key platforms for discussing investment cooperation and the country's further economic development.

The EBRD remains one of Uzbekistan's largest international financial partners. During the period of cooperation, the bank has invested nearly US$6.9 billion in the country's economy through 210 projects.

Most of the financing has been directed toward supporting the private sector. Over the past six years, Uzbekistan has remained the largest recipient of EBRD investment among Central Asian countries.
