Davron Vakhabov appointed as head of Employers Confederation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An extraordinary general meeting of the founders of the Confederation of Employers was held in Uzbekistan, during which personnel and organizational issues related to the further development of the structure were reviewed.
Following the meeting, Davron Vakhabov was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan on a voluntary basis.
Participants also discussed measures to improve the organization’s operations, including the establishment of a system of territorial representative offices and the expansion of its presence across the regions.
It was noted that the Confederation has previously been led by different representatives of the business community. In particular, from 2018 to 2021 the position was combined with the chairmanship of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan by Adkham Ikramov. The organization was then headed by Ilkhom Khaidarov from 2021 to 2024, and by Otabek Ashurov from 2024 to 2026.
As part of the adopted decisions, heads of regional divisions of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry have been designated as official representatives of the Confederation at the local level.
This approach is aimed at strengthening engagement with employers in the regions and improving the efficiency of handling their requests.
Participants emphasized that the reforms are intended to strengthen systematic dialogue with businesses, ensure faster resolution of emerging issues, and enhance the protection of entrepreneurs’ interests, including in labor relations.
