Credit unions’ assets grow by 63.8bn soums in 2008

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Assets of credit unions in Uzbekistan increased by 63.8 billion soums in 2008. Total volume of assets made up 112 billion soums as of 1 January 2009.

As of 1 January 2009, Central Bank of Uzbekistan registered 81 credit unions. Number of credit unions increased by 23 in 2008.
