Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khokim of Samarkand region Adiz Boboev held a working meeting with Kim Dok-yeon, Chairman of the South Korean construction company BOMI Engineering.

The negotiations, which took place within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, were dedicated to modernizing the urban environment and attracting advanced foreign expertise to the developer sector of the region.

The parties noted that against the background of steady demographic and economic growth in Samarkand, creating modern residential and social infrastructure according to international standards is a priority task for local authorities.

At the center of the discussion was a commercial proposal from the South Korean developer to erect a modern residential complex on a land plot with an area of 1 hectare, located in the promising Shirin massive of the city of Samarkand.

The head of the region suggested that the investors expand the concept and implement the project in a mixed-use space format.

According to the updated vision, the future quarter should include not only residential areas but also developed public and commercial zones: landscaped green parks, children's and sports playgrounds, underground or multi-level parkings, as well as built-in retail trade and consumer service facilities.

A special emphasis during the design and subsequent construction will be placed on the integration of smart solutions.

The parties reviewed in detail the implementation of energy-saving technologies, innovative comprehensive security systems, and digital platforms for automated property management operations.

For its part, the administration of Samarkand region guaranteed the provision of comprehensive support to the South Korean partners, including the prompt resolution of issues related to land allocation, connection to main engineering communications, and accelerated processing of permits.

Following the meeting, the developers and the leadership of the khokimiyat expressed mutual readiness to consider long-term prospects for cooperation, including the joint design of other residential quarters, business centers, and multi-functional hubs in Samarkand.
