Bodies of Three Uzbeks Killed in Kazakhstan Returned Home

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The bodies of three Uzbek citizens killed in a road accident in Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda region have been returned home to Bekabad in the Tashkent region, Dunyo news agency reported. The repatriation was organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Almaty and the Migration Agency.

To ensure the prompt delivery of the bodies, the Uzbek side coordinated with competent Kazakh authorities and facilitated the issuance of necessary documentation.

The accident occurred on 22 August 2026 along the Aksai section of the Shymkent–Samara highway, located within the territory of the city of Kyzylorda in the Kyzylorda region. Three Uzbek citizens died at the scene as a result of the crash.

According to preliminary data from local law enforcement agencies, the driver falling asleep at the wheel was identified as the potential cause of the accident, which led to a collision with a freight vehicle.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Almaty, together with the Migration Agency, took the necessary measures to arrange the transportation of the deceased back to Uzbekistan.
