Belarus and Uzbekistan Prepare Cooperation Roadmap to 2030

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Belarus and Uzbekistan are completing preparations for a cooperation roadmap covering the period up to 2030, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich said during the plenary session of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia” held in Tashkent.

He noted that trade and economic relations between the two countries continue to show stable positive dynamics. According to him, this progress is based on agreements reached at the level of heads of state during the official visit of the President of Belarus to Uzbekistan in February 2024, as well as the implementation of an earlier roadmap for 2024–2025.

Within the existing framework of cooperation, assembly of BELARUS tractors has been organized with gradual localization of production. The partnership also includes manufacturing of mounted and trailed agricultural equipment adapted to regional climate conditions.

In the light industry sector, a joint footwear production enterprise is operating, alongside coordinated garment manufacturing using Belarusian design solutions and Uzbek raw materials.

A separate project has also been established for the production of cable and wire products at the Eltech Industrial technopark.

Viktor Karankevich stated that the new roadmap for 2026–2030 envisions further expansion of industrial cooperation and aims to double mutual trade turnover by 2030.

The document also includes plans to develop cooperation in electrical engineering and medical product manufacturing, deepen collaboration in light industry, and implement joint IT solutions, including digitalization of production processes and the use of big data.

The Belarusian side confirmed its readiness to further expand trade and economic cooperation and to implement new joint projects within integration frameworks, including the EAEU and CIS.
