An attempt to smuggle a large batch of TVsets into Uzbekistan prevented

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Employees of the Anti-Smuggling and Customs Offenses Directorate of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan prevented an attempt to smuggle a large batch of television sets.

According to the accompanying documents, such goods as the “Synthetic Thread”, totaling US$5,422, should be in the cargo containers, sent to one of companies in Bukhara region.

As a result of the customs inspection, it turned out that the containers had LG TV sets, which were not indicated in documents. There were 1206 units of TV sets for a total of 5 billion soums.

Currently, according to the revealed fact of an offense, customs inspections are being conducted.
