Aircraft IL-76MF makes first flight

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Firs serial military-transport aircraft IL-76MF made its first flight, Russian Irkut Corporation said. On 30 September, IL-76MF flied from aerodrome of Tashkent Aircraft Production Plant named after Chkalov (TAPOiCH, Uzbekistan).

Transport capacity of IL-76MF is 25% higher compared to basic model and its takeoff weight is 15 tonnes higher. Its cargo cabin is longer for 6.6 meters and the carrying capacity rose by 20 tonnes.

Engine PS-90A-76 and new navigation-piloting complex ensures implementation of all ICAO requirements on noise, emission, air navigation accuracy and flights security.

IL-76MF aircraft is new modification of IL-76 aircraft, which is the most heaviest military-transport aircrafts of the world. The customers received 900 aircrafts of IL-76 of various modifications.
