Agricultural projects launched across 2,500 hectares in Nishan district
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Large agricultural projects are being implemented across 2,500 hectares in Nishan district of Kashkadarya region on land that had not previously been used for agricultural purposes.
Qashqadaryo – Agro Star has organized the cultivation of forage crops for livestock farming across 1,330 hectares using modern technologies.
Another 300 hectares are being developed by Bulung‘ur – Agro Star, which specializes in the production of seed potatoes. As part of the project, elite seeds of five varieties delivered from the Netherlands are being planted.
Ten Austrian-made BAUER pivot irrigation systems have been installed to irrigate the area.
Agrotechnical work is being carried out with the participation of foreign specialists using scientific and technological approaches. Soil composition, moisture levels and climatic conditions are taken into account when organizing production.
As part of the project, it is planned to create a reserve of quality.
