ADB Raises 2025 Financing to US$29.3 Billion

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) provided US$29.3 billion from its own resources while advancing institutional reforms aimed at helping countries in Asia and the Pacific adapt to changing global conditions.

The ADB Annual Report for 2025 notes that total financing increased by 20% compared to 2024. According to the bank’s estimates, the implemented programs could contribute to the creation of more than 3.3 million jobs and improve living conditions for over 180 million people.

An additional US$14.7 billion was mobilized from development partners. The combined volume of loans, grants, investments, guarantees, and technical assistance reached US$29.3 billion.

A key priority in 2025 was the development of the private sector, which received US$5.5 billion in support. A significant share of public financing was directed toward infrastructure development, institutional reforms, and mechanisms to attract private investment.

By regional distribution, US$8.3 billion was allocated to Central and West Asia, US$9.7 billion to South Asia, US$9 billion to Southeast Asia, US$1.4 billion to East Asia, US$680 million to the Pacific region, and US$302 million to regional projects.

In 2025, the bank also approved several institutional reforms, including amendments to its charter allowing a 50% increase in financing capacity without additional capital contributions from shareholders, an updated energy policy, streamlined procurement procedures, and a new approach to developing value chains in strategic sectors.

The ADB continues to operate as a multilateral development bank focused on supporting sustainable and inclusive growth in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together 69 member countries, including 50 from the region.
