ADB Allocates US$1.46 Billion Profit for 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors has approved its financial statements for 2025 and the allocation of US$1.46 billion in distributable net income from ordinary capital resources. The decision is aimed at strengthening the bank’s financial sustainability and expanding support for regional member countries.

According to the approved distribution structure, US$926.4 million will be transferred to ADB’s ordinary reserves. These funds are intended to reinforce the bank’s capital base and ensure long-term income stability.

A further US$393.5 million will be allocated to the Asian Development Fund, which provides grant assistance to the poorest and most vulnerable member countries. Funding through this mechanism is designed to reduce poverty and support socio-economic development.

In addition, US$130 million will go to the Technical Assistance Special Fund. These resources are used for grant financing of project preparation as well as technical and policy studies in borrowing countries, helping improve the quality of development initiatives.

Another US$10 million has been allocated to the Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund. The fund provides rapid grant assistance to countries in the region following major natural disasters, enabling faster recovery efforts and reducing the impact of emergencies.

ADB noted that distributable net income is calculated after allocations to guarantee reserves and adjustments reflected in the accumulated revaluation differences account.

Founded in 1966 and comprising 69 member countries, including 50 from Asia and the Pacific region, the Asian Development Bank remains a key multilateral institution supporting inclusive and sustainable growth through financing, infrastructure investment, and environmental projects.
