WB Taxi Launches Ride-Hailing Service in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — RVB Group—the joint venture of Wildberries and Russ—has announced the launch of its ride-hailing service WB Taxi in Samarkand. The application is available for download on Google Play and the App Store, enabling users to hail taxis throughout the city.

For users who pay for rides by card via the application, a loyalty program is provided with cashback credited in the form of bonus points called virtual "watermelons," where one "watermelon" corresponds to one soum. The cashback rate is set at 50% of the completed trip value. Accumulated points can be used to pay for up to 99% of the cost of subsequent rides. Upon registration, new users receive a welcome bonus of 20,000 "watermelons."

Timur Aliyev, Head of WB Taxi in Uzbekistan, stated that the service offers transparent terms of cooperation for drivers: a reduced aggregator commission, the opportunity to receive fast guaranteed payouts upon fulfilling the trip plan, and support from the service team.

WB Taxi previously commenced operations in Tashkent. Outside of Uzbekistan, the service operates in Minsk and Bishkek.
