Visa launches AI commerce solution for businesses
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Visa has announced the launch of a new technological solution, Intelligent Commerce Connect, designed to simplify business integration into an artificial intelligence-based commerce ecosystem.
The presentation took place on 20 April 2026, in Almaty.
The development is a universal infrastructure that functions as a network and protocol for interaction between market participants — from AI agent developers to merchants and technology partners.
The solution provides a unified “entry point” into so-called agentic commerce, regardless of the systems used to store payment data.
Growing consumer trust in AI agents that perform purchases on behalf of users is creating demand for standardized and secure business tools. Intelligent Commerce Connect addresses this need by offering integration through the Visa Acceptance Platform.
The system enables payment initiation, tokenization, authentication, and expense control within a single interface.
This allows AI agents to execute transactions using Visa cards and other payment systems, expanding interaction capabilities between market participants.
According to Sanjar Suleymanov, Vice President and Regional Manager of Visa in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, the new technology integrates the company’s existing payment infrastructure into the rapidly developing AI commerce segment, enabling businesses to securely delegate operations to digital agents.
Key features of the solution include compatibility with multiple token providers, reducing dependence on a single payment data provider. It also supports major agent protocols, including the Trusted Agent Protocol, Machine Payments Protocol, Agentic Commerce Protocol, and Universal Commerce Protocol.
The platform allows merchants to integrate their product catalogs into AI systems, including product descriptions, specifications, and prices. This enables users to select and pay for goods directly within an AI interface.
Additionally, Visa handles PCI security compliance and transaction orchestration for payment processors serving merchants.
Intelligent Commerce Connect is available through the Visa Acceptance Platform, a modular payment infrastructure used at millions of acceptance points worldwide, including online, mobile channels, and marketplaces.
