Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekneftegaz will introduce hourly monitoring of daily natural gas production in November and December as part of preparations for the autumn-winter season.

The directive was issued by company Chairman of the Management Board Abdugani Sanginov during a video conference focused on meeting production targets and preparing for the heating season.

Participants reviewed the implementation of instructions issued on 23 October, progress in well drilling and repairs, and geological and technical measures required to achieve planned production volumes.

According to the company, measures already taken have increased daily natural gas production by 1.8 million cubic metres compared with the level recorded on 1 October. However, the meeting stressed the need to recover lost production volumes and complete all measures scheduled for the autumn-winter period on time.

At the Kondor company, daily gas production increased by 255,000 cubic metres following the instructions issued on 23 October.

Following the meeting, the heads of the Shurtan and Mubarek departments were instructed to address shortfalls against production targets and ensure that all planned geological and technical measures are carried out.

Particular attention was paid to drilling and well-testing deadlines. The company instructed teams to complete the work within the established timeframes, prepare daily plans to resolve problems arising during drilling and ensure that the plans are implemented. Timely and high-quality scheduled well maintenance, including complex repair work, was also emphasised.

At fields in Ustyurt, repair rigs purchased in China are to be installed in stages. The company also plans to begin directional drilling and well-deepening operations.

Uzbekneftegaz plans to drill 146 wells in 2027, including 96 exploration wells and 50 production wells. Work on 18 wells is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of next year.

To prepare for the programme, seven drilling rigs arriving from China are due to be assembled in stages by the end of 2026. Drilling operations are expected to begin after the rigs have been installed.

According to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz, meeting production targets and completing geological and technical work on schedule remain key priorities in the company’s preparations for the autumn-winter season.
