Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates led by Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei.

The negotiations took place amid the continued strengthening of Uzbek–Emirati strategic partnership and preparations for new joint investment initiatives.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Emirati delegation conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled Al Nahyan.

During the talks, the sides noted the high pace of development in bilateral relations. It was emphasised that trade volumes, investment flows, and the number of joint ventures between Uzbekistan and the UAE continue to grow.

Special attention was given to expanding investment cooperation. It was noted that new agreements involving companies from the United Arab Emirates are expected to be signed within the framework of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum.

Following the talks, the sides reached an agreement to accelerate the implementation of major joint projects in several strategic areas.

These include green energy development, fuel production, transport and logistics infrastructure, the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies, and digital transformation across various sectors of the economy.

Both sides reaffirmed their interest in further expanding practical cooperation and implementing new initiatives aimed at strengthening the investment partnership between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
