Uzbekistan to face Jordan, Bahrain and North Korea in the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national football team has learned its opponents for the group stage of the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™.
Following the draw held in Riyadh on May 10, Uzbekistan was placed in Group B alongside Jordan, Bahrain and North Korea.
The final stage of the tournament will be hosted in Saudi Arabia for the first time. The Asian Cup will begin on Jan. 7, 2027, with the final scheduled for Feb. 5 at King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Riyadh.
Under tournament regulations, the top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stage. Round of 16 matches are scheduled for Jan. 22–25, quarterfinals for Jan. 28–29, and semifinals for Feb. 1–2.
Group A includes Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Palestine. Group C consists of Iran, Syria, Kyrgyzstan and China. Group D features Australia, Tajikistan, Iraq and Singapore.
Group E includes South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and the winner of the Lebanon–Yemen playoff. Group F comprises Japan, Qatar, Thailand and Indonesia.
According to the schedule, Uzbekistan will play its group-stage matches in Jeddah, Al Khobar and Riyadh.
