Uzbekistan to face Japan in semis of Qatar tournament

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Syria and Japan booked their places in the semifinals of the 8th international friendly tournament in Doha, Qatar, on 15 January.

Syria recorded 1-0 victory over the UAE thanks to goal of Mohammed Fares. Syria topped the group B with 7 points.

Yamamura Kazuya’s double in the first half of the match helped Japan to claim three points against Serbia. Japan won 3-2 to move to the second place in the group.

On 18 January, Uzbekistan, group A winners, will face Japan, while Syria will take on host and runner-ups of group A Qatar.
