Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures to implement the project" Reconstruction of 150-228 km (78 km) of the A380 “Guzar - Bukhara - Nukus – Beineu” highway with the participation of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank”.

According to the document, a project for the reconstruction of 150-228 km (78 km) of the A380 "Guzar - Bukhara - Nukus - Beyneu" highway will be implemented in Uzbekistan.

The Committee for Roads has developed a feasibility study (FS) for the project. The project cost is US$207.1 million.

In June 2020, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank allocated a loan to Uzbekistan in the amount of US$165.5 million. The share of Uzbekistan in the project will amount to v41.6 million (benefits on taxes, duties and other payments, etc.).

The project will be implemented within 5 years (2021-2025).
