Uzbekistan Schools Hold “Hour of the Future” Classes on Mondays

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Educational institutions across Uzbekistan hold “Hour of the Future” (Kelajak soati) classes every Monday to foster national and universal human values among children and students.

The practice was introduced by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year.

The program covers preschool education organizations and general education schools within the ministry’s system.

The main objective of the classes is to develop children’s love for and dedication to their homeland, awareness of national identity and respect for older generations. The program also focuses on increasing students’ awareness of ongoing reforms, developing social and emotional skills, and promoting positive behavioral patterns.

Representatives of government and public organizations, figures from culture and literature, scholars from various fields, teachers, lawmakers and prominent figures in the arts are involved in conducting the classes. They deliver thematic sessions based on the relevant areas of the program.

Video materials featuring experts and specialists are also produced for educational institutions. The content is published on the milliytarbiya.uz platform. To date, the platform has published 410 videos based on 180 scripts.

For the 2026–2027 academic year, the ministry has developed a separate “Hour of the Future” program. Educational materials, scripts, visual content and interactive resources have been prepared for different age groups.

Separate educational programs have been developed for preschool children aged 3 to 7, as well as students in grades 1–4, 5–8 and 9–11. Materials for these age groups have been posted on the milliytarbiya.uz platform.

The classes are not limited to the delivery of information. During interactive activities, students can talk about their dreams and goals, discuss the topics covered and receive answers to their questions.

A separate part of the program focuses on Uzbekistan’s historical heritage. Children and school students learn about the country’s prominent ancestors, their contributions to politics, science and culture, and their role in the development of the state.

To improve the quality of the “Hour of the Future” classes, the ministry regularly organizes training seminars. They bring together responsible staff from the ministry’s territorial departments, representatives of educational institutions’ management and teachers.

The seminars are designed to familiarize responsible personnel with the program’s content, teaching methods and mechanisms for organizing the classes in educational institutions.
