Uzbekistan President Meets Tajikistan Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum.
At the beginning of the talks, the head of the Tajik government conveyed greetings and best wishes from President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the President of Uzbekistan.
The sides discussed current issues related to further strengthening Uzbekistan–Tajikistan relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and alliance, as well as the implementation of previously reached high-level agreements.
It was noted that bilateral cooperation is demonstrating strong momentum across all key areas.
In particular, growth in trade turnover was recorded, along with active implementation of joint projects in energy, industry, agriculture, and water management sectors.
Special attention was given to prospects for expanding cooperation in interregional and cultural-humanitarian exchanges. The need to develop new initiatives aimed at further strengthening partnership between the two countries was emphasized.
