Uzbekistan names weightlifting team for Aichi-Nagoya 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation has announced the national team for the XX Summer Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, with six Uzbek athletes set to compete.
Uzbekistan will be represented by five weightlifters in the men’s competition. Adhamjon Ergashov will compete in the up to 65 kg category, while Diyorbek Ruzmetov will compete in the up to 75 kg category.
Khasanboy Berdiev has been entered in the up to 85 kg category, while Mukhammadkodir Toshtemirov will compete in the up to 95 kg category. Olympic champion Akbar Djuraev will compete in the up to 110 kg category.
In the women’s competition, Uzbekistan will be represented by Nigora Abdullaeva in the up to 53 kg category.
The national weightlifting team for the Asian Games therefore consists of five men and one woman.
The XX Summer Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will be held in Japan from 19 September to 4 October 2026.
