Uzbekistan Kit Ranked Low in ESPN World Kit List
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The football kit of the national team of Uzbekistan for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup received a modest evaluation in an ESPN global ranking, placing 103rd out of 105 participating team uniforms.
The home kit, designed by 7Saber, is predominantly white with dark blue trim and references traditional Uzbek textile art.
Designers incorporated a geometric mosaic pattern inspired by Uzbek suzani embroidery, one of the oldest forms of decorative applied art in the region. The striped collar features all colors of the national flag.
However, experts at ESPN concluded that the minimalist approach and restrained design choices prevented the kit from ranking higher among the 105 uniforms evaluated.
The away kit ranked 84th in the list. It is based on a dark blue color scheme and largely mirrors the structure of the home version, also incorporating traditional textile motifs. Analysts noted that the national colors on the collar appear more contrasting and expressive on the darker background than on the white home kit. Despite this improvement, the away kit also remained in the lower tier of the ranking.
ESPN analysts stated that Uzbekistan did not fully utilize the potential of its national culture in the kit design. While other teams, particularly debutants and established football nations, presented more visually striking and innovative kits, Uzbekistan’s uniforms were assessed as among the least expressive in terms of design ambition.
