Uzbekistan Green Energy Generation Up 22.9 Percent in June

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In June 2026, large solar and wind power plants in Uzbekistan produced 1 billion 293.7 million kWh of electricity, which is 22.9 percent more compared to the same period last year. The Ministry of Energy reported the figures.

According to industry data, solar power plants generated 1 billion 48 million kWh of electricity, while wind power plants generated 245.7 million kWh.

The growth in electricity production from renewable sources saved 344 million cubic meters of natural gas and prevented the emission of 743,000 tonnes of harmful substances into the atmosphere.

For comparison, in June 2025, the total volume of electricity generation by solar and wind power plants stood at 1 billion 52 million kWh.

As noted, the volume of electricity produced in June is equivalent to the average monthly consumption of approximately 6.5 million households or the annual consumption of 541,000 households.
