Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — During a visit by staff from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan to Pujiang County of Jinhua City, meetings were held with the leadership of the local administration, alongside the Uzbekistan-China business forum and negotiations with representatives of major Chinese companies. Dunyo news agency reported the events.

At a meeting with the Mayor of the county, Liu Qi, the parties discussed the development of interregional cooperation and the expansion of economic ties. The Chinese representative noted that thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two countries, Uzbek-Chinese relations have reached their highest level, and he confirmed readiness to support joint projects and initiatives in areas of mutual interest.

The Uzbek side invited Liu Qi to visit Uzbekistan to further develop interregional interaction. The Mayor of Pujiang supported the initiative and announced readiness to organize a visit of a business mission including representatives of the county's leading enterprises.

Within the framework of the business forum, representatives of government authorities, educational institutions, and more than 60 Chinese companies were briefed on the investment potential of Uzbekistan, business conditions, economic reforms, and measures to liberalize the economy and create a favorable investment climate.

Following the forum, participants discussed promising areas of cooperation and agreed to organize business missions of Chinese entrepreneurs to regions of Uzbekistan.

During separate negotiations with the management of Zhejiang Juyitang Garment Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Pujiang Bohu Chain Co., Ltd., the possibilities of establishing production facilities in Uzbekistan for textile products and protective chains for automobile tires were considered.

Additionally, the Chairman of Pujiang Jida Home Textile Co., Ltd., Ni Bulong, reported that the enterprise is studying the possibility of relocating part of its production capacities to Uzbekistan due to difficulties encountered in the company's operations in other countries.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a visit of the company's representatives to Uzbekistan by the end of this year.
