Uzbekistan Establishes Higher Tax School Under Tax Committee

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has established a Higher Tax School under the Tax Committee, following Presidential Decree No. PP-227 of 16 June 2026.

The new institution will specialise in training modern personnel for tax authorities and developing research capacity in the field of taxation.

The school has been designated as the primary scientific and methodological centre for the training, retraining, and professional development of specialists, as well as for conducting fundamental and applied research.

The institution will operate with academic, financial, and organisational independence in accordance with current legislation.

Undergraduate admissions will begin in the 2026/2027 academic year, with a minimum course duration of three years. Master's degree and postgraduate programmes are planned to launch from the 2027/2028 academic year.

Training will be offered in taxation, digital tax administration, tax law, and financial control.

Graduates will be eligible to receive not only a state diploma but also certificates confirming their qualifications as tax consultant and auditor. Support is also provided for students who already hold international professional certifications, including ACCA, DipIFR, CAP/CIPA, CIA, and ACA, with costs covered for further study to obtain the relevant qualifications.

From the 2026/2027 academic year, up to 50 state grants and enrolment quotas are planned to be allocated annually. The state order for the field of taxation and tax administration will be directed primarily to the new institution.

The establishment of the Higher Tax School is seen as a step towards building a modern system for training highly qualified specialists for Uzbekistan's tax sector.
