Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has introduced the option to remotely re-register a mobile phone number to another person without the need to visit telecom operators’ service centers.

The new service is now available through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services, my.gov.uz. With its launch, the process of changing the ownership of a subscriber number has been fully shifted into a digital format.

Previously, mobile number re-registration required the physical presence of both parties at a telecom operator’s office, waiting in queues, and completing paper-based documentation. These procedures have now been replaced by online processing via the state portal.

The introduction of the service is aimed at simplifying administrative procedures and reducing the time required to obtain public services through the expansion of digital government solutions.
