Uzbekistan discusses projects with Turkic Investment Fund
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 May, a meeting was held between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and President of the Turkic Investment Fund Baghdad Amreyev.
During the talks, the parties reviewed the launch of the fund’s operational activities, assessed current progress, and discussed further steps toward its institutional development.
The Uzbek side welcomed the transition of the fund to its practical phase, highlighting its importance as the first joint financial institution of the Turkic world with broad investment potential.
Particular attention was given to Uzbekistan’s participation in the fund’s activities, including the formation of an investment project portfolio across key sectors such as industry, infrastructure, transport, agriculture, and digital technologies.
The sides also discussed prospects for implementing specific initiatives in Uzbekistan and across Central Asia using co-financing mechanisms, including support from international financial institutions and private investors.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached on further steps to develop the project pipeline and establish systematic technical cooperation.
