Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan took part in the 22nd international seminar on the development of the Trans-Caspian Multimodal Digital Corridor, held in Baku.
The event was held in a hybrid format at the headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA. Uzbekistan was represented by specialists from the Centre for Transport and Logistics Development Studies under the Ministry of Transport and the state institution “Digital Transport Centre.”
The seminar was organized by the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA jointly with the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), with the participation of development partners.
Heads and experts from relevant ministries and agencies of TRACECA and SPECA countries, as well as representatives of the European Commission, the World Bank, GIZ, ITC and the business community, took part in the event.
The main topic of discussion was a draft methodology for the Trans-Caspian Digital Corridor, developed based on UN/CEFACT standards. Participants also discussed the digitalization of multimodal transport, the introduction of electronic document management and improvements to data exchange among participants in the transport process.
During the seminar, the Centre for Transport and Logistics Development Studies presented its approaches to developing and digitalizing the Trans-Caspian Multimodal Corridor. Particular attention was paid to the integration of information systems, interoperability of digital solutions and efficient data exchange among stakeholders.
Following the event, participants emphasized the importance of further developing digital tools, integrating information systems and improving regulatory cooperation to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
