Uzbekistan and Slovakia Sign Declaration on Strategic Partnership and Several Bilateral Agreements
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Following negotiations held in Tashkent, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico signed a Joint Declaration establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries.
In the presence of the heads of state, a ceremony was held to exchange bilateral agreements covering a wide range of areas. Among the signed agreements are:
- On the training of diplomats and professional development of foreign affairs personnel;
- On the development of cooperation in agriculture;
- On cooperation in the fields of standardization, metrology, and product conformity assessment;
- On partnership in regulating energy markets;
- On cooperation program between the ministries of foreign affairs for 2025–2026;
- On interaction program in the field of standardization for 2025–2026.
These documents lay a strong institutional foundation for expanding the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovakia.
