Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Plans to establish a training centre to prepare young people for employment in Japan have been discussed in Tashkent Region. The initiative is being considered jointly with Japanese company Onodera User Run Co., Ltd.
As part of efforts to implement directives issued by Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, First Deputy Governor of Tashkent Region Otabek Tursunov, Yangiyul District Governor Ravshan Raimov and representatives of the Japanese company visited Vocational School No. 1 in Yangiyul.
The visit followed the president’s review of the activities of the Intil International Language and Vocational Training Centre and a meeting on labour migration. The meeting resulted in instructions to establish unified migration centres across the country’s regions.
One proposal is to open a specialised training centre at the Yangiyul vocational school. It is planned to teach young people Japanese and prepare them to obtain category B, C and D driving licences, which are in demand for employment in Japan.
The delegation also assessed the school’s technical facilities, existing training conditions and the possibilities for organising educational programmes with the participation of Japanese partners.
The project is expected to expand young people’s access to vocational training and foreign language education, while helping build a pool of skilled workers for the international labour market.
The initiative is aimed at creating additional opportunities for Uzbek citizens to find legal employment abroad.
