Uzbekistan and China Expand Textile Industry Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit by a delegation of the “Uztextileprom” Association to the People’s Republic of China, a meeting was held with the leadership of Shaoxing Huangxi Intelligent Group, a company specializing in the development of intelligent solutions for industrial production. The main focus of the talks was the introduction of modern technologies and the expansion of automation processes in the textile sector.

The delegation also included representatives of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, as well as heads of major textile enterprises of Uzbekistan, which allowed the discussions to be conducted in a more applied and practical format.

Chairman of the “Uztextileprom” Association Muhammadjon Jumaniyazov provided the Chinese side with detailed information on the current state of Uzbekistan’s textile, garment, and knitwear industry, and outlined key priorities for its further development.

During the talks, particular attention was paid to the modernization of production capacities and technological upgrading of enterprises, increasing the depth of raw material processing, and expanding the production of high value-added goods. The parties also discussed the introduction of digital and automated production management systems, as well as strengthening export potential and diversifying sales markets.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue developing cooperation, including technology transfer, exchange of practical experience, and the establishment of direct partnerships between enterprises of the two countries in the textile industry.
