Uzbek President appoints new deputy prime minister

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov appointed new deputy prime minister of Uzbekistan – chairperson of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.

According to Gov.uz, Elmira Basithanova has been appointed to the post of the deputy prime minister of Uzbekistan – chairperson of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan.

At this post, Elmira Basithanova replaced Farida Akbarova, who had worked at this position since June 2008.
