UCell to launch 3G network in February

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Coscom, 900/1800 GSM operator of Uzbekistan and rendering services under UCell brand, plans to launch 3G network for commercial use in February.

Oguz Memiguven, director-general of Coscom, said at the Tashkent business forum on 28 January, that the company will launch 3G network in Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara in February.

He said the company plans to expand 3G network and cover all Uzbekistan.

Currently, Coscom is running its 3G network in Tashkent in test mode. The launch of test mode was held in November 2008.
